Mukier Williams, LPC

 Mukier “Yogi” Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor (VA) with more than 18 years of experience supporting teens and young adults. Yogi is dedicated to helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma through a compassionate, grounded, and culturally responsive approach.

Using evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based interventions, Yogi creates a therapeutic space that honors each client’s individual experiences and goals. He specializes in guiding youth through emotional and behavioral challenges, helping them build resilience, confidence, and healthy coping skills.

Yogi’s style is collaborative, empowering, and rooted in real-world practicality. Through supportive, transformative sessions, clients learn to understand their emotions, overcome barriers, and grow into their fullest potential—moving toward healing, balance, and lasting personal success.

Deshauna Jones, M.A. Resident In Counseling

Deshauna Jones, M.A., is a Resident in Counseling with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. She provides individual and group therapy with a compassionate, culturally aware, and evidence-based approach. Deshauna has experience supporting adults and young adults dealing with substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood-related concerns. Her work focuses on building resilience, increasing self-awareness, and helping clients develop healthy coping strategies to support long-term emotional well-being. 

Through her work in community-based settings, Deshauna has cultivated a deep understanding of the barriers individuals face in accessing consistent mental health care. She strives to create a safe, supportive environment that encourages open dialogue, personal accountability, and meaningful progress toward healing.

Dedicated to helping others find strength through vulnerability, Deshauna believes that every individual has the capacity for change and growth when given the right tools and support.
Outside of counseling, she enjoys connecting with her community, mentoring others, and exploring new ways to enhance her clinical practice through continued education and professional collaboration.

Charles Ralph, MSW, Supervisee in Social Work

Charles Ralph, MSW, brings over 30 years of experience supporting children, adults, and families through seasons of change, stress, and emotional difficulty. His early years as a U.S. Army Officer shaped his calm, steady way of connecting with people and taught him how to guide others through moments of pressure and uncertainty. In therapy, Charles creates a grounded and compassionate space where clients can feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow.


Drawing from Structural Family Therapy, Strengths-Based practices, and Cognitive-Behavioral strategies, Charles helps clients improve communication, manage emotions, strengthen family relationships, and navigate behavioral or relational challenges. He has spent many years working with youth and families involved in the court or foster care systems, as well as individuals managing anger, life transitions, and personal healing. His decades of experience facilitating teen and adult anger management groups further enrich his patient, steady therapeutic style.


Charles also brings a strong pastoral and spiritual foundation to his work. Called to ministry in 1994 and now serving as an elder, he believes in a holistic approach to healing that honors emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. While he welcomes clients of all backgrounds, he offers space for those who desire to integrate faith into the work. 


Above all, Charles is committed to helping individuals and families gain clarity, build resilience, and create lasting, meaningful change.

Sharlene Leigh, M.Ed. Counseling, Resident in Counseling

Sharlene Leigh, M.Ed., is a Resident in Counseling who earned her Master of Education degree from George Mason University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Radford University. Passionate about supporting individuals on their mental health journeys, she specializes in providing personalized care and crisis intervention.  She crafts tailored treatment plans to meet each client’s unique needs.


With over a decade of experience as an outpatient and home-based counselor, Sharlene has worked with individuals and families across elementary, high school, university, and assisted living settings. This diverse background allows her to connect with and support a wide range of populations.


Specializing in trauma-informed care and various therapeutic methodologies, Sharlene is dedicated to empowering her clients to achieve their personal goals. She believes in the power of resilience and the strength of the human spirit to overcome challenges.

Outside of work, Sharlene enjoys engaging with her community through volunteering and finds joy in exploring innovative ways to enhance her practice.

Maddii Nance, Clinical Intern

Maddi Nance is a counseling intern pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a trauma emphasis at Grand Canyon University. A Hampton Roads native, she is passionate about supporting children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and challenges related to military family life. Maddi utilizes an integrative approach informed by CBT, DBT, and strength-based practices to meet clients where they are. She is dedicated to creating a warm, empathetic, and empowering therapeutic environment that fosters healing, resilience, and personal growth.
